The most beautiful detour from Steinegg to Weissbad

Leave Steinegg behind you and walk uphill past the restaurant Schlössli turn away from the road and hike on meadows past the well-kept farmhouses of the Befig area up to the Berggasthaus Eggli (mountain inn). You have reached the highest altitude of the hike, and it is time for a break to enjoy the view. Descend over reddish meadows and past scattered «Gädeli», little cottages, to the Schwarzenegg area near the Gehr property and follow the narrow field path, past the beautiful St. Martin Chapel, to the main road. You will soon leave the main road and reach Weissbad a short distance down the slope.
