The Planet Trail shows the solar system on a scale of 1:1 billion and makes the distances between the planets tangible.

The Planet Trail depicts our solar system on a scale of 1:1 billion. Both the sun and the planets are depicted to scale. The trail starts at the Wuhrweg of the Rhine dam at the Rheinpark Stadium and leads past the Old Rhine Bridge in Vaduz. Along the way, the distances between the celestial bodies can be experienced and the information boards convey interesting facts about our solar system.

The Planet Trail was realised in June 2006 by pupils from the Vaduz secondary school as part of an interdisciplinary project. In 2024 and 2025, it was restored, renewed and supplemented with updated information texts.

A special feature of the Planet Trail is Pluto: Although it was stripped of its planetary status about two months after the realization of the Planet Trail in 2006, the Planet Trail still includes nine planets including Pluto. As a dwarf planet, Pluto is representative of the new planet class created in 2006.
