The tour links two countries on the Rhine: Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. Five castles with a common history line the route. In addition to the ancient buildings, towns such as Buchs and Vaduz are well worth a visit.

Vaduz Castle is the landmark of the Principality and has towered over Vaduz for about 700 years. Since 1938 it has been the residence of the Princely Family. Over the Energy Bridge, the Rhine is then crossed and the route leads to Buchs. The castle and small town of Werdenberg are mostly still in their original state from the 13th century. The ascent to the Wartau castle ruins can be easily managed with an e-bike. Next, it goes down to Sargans Castle. From afar, Gutenberg Castle in Balzers can be seen, also from the 13th century, which stands on a rock spur over 70 meters high. Finally, the castle route leads back to the starting point via leisurely cycle paths. The climb from Plattis to Gretschins is only suitable for those with good fitness. (145 meters altitude on 2 kilometers) Alternative route: From Sevelen, follow the Föhn Skate no. 62 to Trübbach.
