The "Bireweg" from Egnach to Winden tells the story of Egnach and the many fine fruits of the region via a digital guide and with many picturesque views.
The tranquil village of Egnach on Lake Constance is one of Thurgau's hotspots for berry and fruit production. Four hiking trails are dedicated to the village, with its many hamlets and the countless fruits growing here; the Egnacher Perlen. One of them is the "Bireweg". Over almost eight kilometres, it leads from the former Egnach cider factory through large orchards and tall stem gardens up to Winden station. The Bireweg can be walked along ten wayposts with a digital guide via the "CubeTrail" app. Historical background to the village and fruit growing as well as the most valuable tourist points are explained. Views of lush meadows, idyllic farms, pretty half-timbered houses and the glittering blue Lake Constance delight the hiker's heart.
The trail is accessible daily and at any time. The "CubeTrail" app is available free of charge in the Apple and Android App Store.
