Discover the Schwägalp in a playful way and learn exciting facts about nature, alpine farming and the unique cultural landscape

Along the approximately two-kilometer-long trail, there are twelve stations to explore, covering topics such as alpine farming, nature, animals, the forest, and culture. The content is presented in a way that is engaging for adults but, of course, also child-friendly, allowing visitors to better appreciate the landscape and its significance.

At twelve interactive stations, visitors are guided by a wooden disc shaped and sized like a Schwägalp “Mutschli.” Along the trail, the disc rolls through specially designed channels and plays a role at various stations. Sometimes dexterity is required, sometimes keen observation, and sometimes teamwork. Guiding the way is “Sämi,” the young herdsman, who shares fascinating facts about the animals, nature, and life on the alp. Through play, children and adults learn why the Schwägalp is such a special natural environment and how people and nature have coexisted here for generations.
