First mentioned in 1418. The house has a special status because of its frescoes, which are considered the earliest preserved Renaissance façade paintings in Switzerland. Painted around 1520 by Thomas Schmid. Medieval motifs such as Bocca della Verità, Trial of Loyalty, Power and Unity; plus scenes from Boccaccio's Decamerone. The frescoes show a kind of "humanist lay sermon".
