The Hollein Building
Completed in 2002, the building was designed by the renowned architect Hans Hollein and impresses with its unique shape.
In 1997 he was commissioned by the Dr.-Ludwig-Marxer Family Foundation to design the structure that is today known as the "Hollein Building".
The form of the building derives from a simple rectangular body that has been transformed into a dynamic, tensioned structural volume through a minor modification. This created a homogeneous building whose roof and façade are not separate elements, but which consist instead of the same stone and the same structure.
The coherence and plasticity of the structure is underscored by the contiguous façade made of verde andeer, which has in equal measure a sophisticated and robust effect.
The data is maintained by the tourism destinations in Eastern Switzerland.
