St.Galler Brunnen-Challenge
Where does our drinking water actually come from? What role do wells, reservoirs and pumping stations play in the supply? And what stories are hidden behind the various fountains? Answers to these and other questions are provided by the two fountain challenges, which lead right through the city of St.Gallen.
This is how the "Fountain Challenge" works:
The "St.Gallen Fountain Challenge" is available online and can be completed directly on your smartphone at
www.brunnen-challenge.ch be called. There, participants will find an interactive
City map on which the fountains of the challenge are marked. For each location there is a
Quiz question. After completing a challenge, participants can pick up a prize at the Tourist Information of St.Gallen-Bodensee Tourism. The "Fountain Challenge" starts on 1 July 2026
and runs until the end of September 2026. It can be done on foot or by bike, in one go or in several
stages.
