St. Bartholomäuskirche / Paritätische Kirche Pfyn
The parity church of St. Bartholomew is located inside the late Roman fort of Ad Fines and is one of the oldest churches in Thurgau.
This fact indicates that a settlement had also existed in the Roman ruins during the early Middle Ages. The church, which is located on the east side of the fort, was first mentioned in a document in 1155, but it could have been donated to the diocese of Constance by King Dagobert I as early as 630.
