Russian Monument in Hinterschellenberg
The Russian Monument in Hinterschellenberg commemorates the flight of around 500 members of the 1st Russian National Army to Liechtenstein in May 1945 and the subsequent granting of asylum by the Principality.

The Russian Monument is located below the Wirtschaft zum Löwen in Hinterschellenberg. In the night of 2 to 3 May 1945, the asylum-seeking remnants of the "1st Russian National Army of the German Wehrmacht" under Major General A. Holmston-Smyslowsky crossed the then Reich border into Liechtenstein with around 500 people.

The first negotiations took place in the "Wirtschaft zum Löwen", which led to the granting of asylum by the Principality of Liechtenstein. The memorial stone commemorates this event. He notes that Liechtenstein resisted Soviet extradition demands and allowed the refugees to leave for a country of their choice after two and a half years.
