Ruine Wildenburg
The Wildenburg barbecue area is located in the Wildenburg castle ruins, the highest castle ruin in the canton of St. Gallen (1107 m).
Especially for children it is a great thing to barbecue in the middle of the castle ruins. A metal staircase leads to the remains of the keep, from where you have a beautiful view. The fireplace is circular bricked and has a grate hanging on a chain, which can be easily adjusted in height. It can also be easily swivelled to the side. To turn the meat on the grill, a grill glove is recommended, otherwise the grate will constantly wobble. A small supply of wood is available. The whole barbecue area in front of the keep is fenced down to the stairs, so that the little ones can not fall down any wall and the parents can enjoy the barbecue better.
