Right next to the only publicly accessible Appenzell® show dairy, guests can experience cheese production live every day and discover how versatile the spiciest cheese in Switzerland is on the plate.
Regional, authentic and always surprising: We combine traditional Appenzell dishes with innovative ideas and put Appenzell® cheese in the limelight again and again. The focus is on quality, taste and the joy of enjoyment.
Our popular Schauchäsi classics include, of course , Chääshörnli with Bölle, boiled sausage, homemade fondue and Appenzeller cheese cream soup. At the same time, our kitchen provides a breath of fresh air with new creations. Our juicy house burger with beef patty and Appenzeller® cheese is becoming increasingly popular. Together with Breitenmoser, special sausage specialities are also created: an Appenzeller bratwurst with Mostbröckli and Appenzeller® cheese and a Schüblig with Appenzeller® cheese.
