Restaurant 3 Linden (Dreilinden)
High above St. Gallen, on Dreilinden, lies the 3 Linden restaurant. The view stretches across the old town and the rolling hills of the surrounding countryside—a panorama as beautiful as a painting. In the summer, it’s noticeably cooler up here than in the city, and on-site parking is available.
The cuisine combines Swiss classics with Mediterranean influences: from homemade garlic butter on sourdough bread to the St. Gallen Olma bratwurst, as well as fish, vegetarian, and vegan dishes. The restaurant uses select, fresh ingredients that are seasonal and, whenever possible, locally sourced.
From November through January, Chalet 3—the fondue chalet with the best view of St. Gallen—is open. They serve three varieties of cheese fondue (house blend, Alpine, and truffle-Prosecco) as well as fondue chinoise with homemade sauces. The chalet is also ideal for corporate Christmas dinners and groups of eight or more, with a shuttle available upon request.
Tip: A walk to the nearby Drei Weieren is the perfect way to round out your visit.
