Radfahren in der Linthebene
The plain is ideal for easy bike tours as well as for family trips and the route possibilities are very diverse. For example, you can follow the signposted route no. 9 from Weesen and drive the entire length of the Linth plain to Schmerikon, which takes you about 1 1/2 hours. For the way back, you can also simply follow the Linth upstream via Grynau.
At least as worthwhile is the adjacent plain of the March. Route no. 32 takes you on the left side of the Linth Canal to Lachen, past the Wangen-Lachen airfield, where you can watch the planes taking off and landing from the garden restaurant. If you want to cover a few more meters in altitude, you can ride the Buechberg, with its dense, shady forest.
For a refreshing dip in the water or to cool off your feet, access to the Linth is possible in many places without any problems.
