Playground Hurbig

The Hurbig is the highest point between the Rafzerfeld and the Rhine Graben and can be seen from far away. The name goes back to the Old High German Hurewic: har or hor means "marshy, boggy or morass". On the eastern slope, barely visible in the forest, water emerges. Rush and cattail grow there. Both are primeval plants that indicate wet soil.
