Pfarrkirche St. Fridolin
The parish church of St. Fridolin was built between 1897 and 1903, but the history of the church dates back to 1614.
The Catholic parish church of St. Fridolin in Ruggell is located at 433 m above sea level. M. and looks back on a long history. In the northwest of the present church, a chapel was built in 1614, which was dedicated to St. Fridolin in 1617. After extensions in 1668 and 1851 and a new consecration in 1674, the simple, single-nave building was demolished in 1900/01. The current church was built between 1897 and 1903 according to plans by the Viennese architect Gustav Ritter von Neumann. Ruggell was elevated to an independent parish in 1874 by the curation of Bendern.
