The ferry ticket can be used as a voucher at various tourist partners in Lachen, Altendorf and Rapperswil-Jona. With these partners, for example, you can get a coffee, a menu or an ice cream CHF 1 cheaper.

The municipalities of Lachen, Altendorf and the city of Rapperswil-Jona, in cooperation with the "Agglo Obersee" and Rapperswil Zürichsee Tourism, are offering the Obersee ferry service during the summer from 7 June to 27 September 2026 . The popular, nostalgic ship "Jean-Jacques Rousseau" will once again be used.
Promoting non-motorised traffic
The ferry is primarily aimed at pedestrians. Strollers and, as long as space allows, bicycles can also be taken along. A ticket must be purchased for bicycle transport. The Obersee ferry is also part of or shortcut on the Lake Zurich Circular Trail (Switzerland Mobil Route 84).
