Naherholungsgebiet Rietstuck

The Rietstuck recreation area is located between Eschenbach and Neuhaus at an altitude of 475 metres above sea level and is a popular destination after longer hikes or shorter walks.
The Rietstuckweiher is not a bathing pond - but it offers an attractive habitat for a species-rich flora and fauna. For example, there is a natural fish stock that allows patent-free fishing to a tolerable extent. If a sufficiently thick layer of ice forms in colder winters, the pond is also released for ice skating by the municipality.

The pond was created at the beginning of the 1990s as a retention basin to separate dirty and meteor water. On this occasion, the municipality designed a diverse recreation facility, which has since been highly appreciated as a local recreation area in the immediate vicinity of the village.
