Museum im Zeughaus
The Museum im Zeughaus conveys knowledge about the history of Switzerland and its army at two locations: In Schaffhausen in the historic buildings of the Cantonal Armoury and in Diessenhofen.
Several permanent and special exhibitions and regular events focus on historical events and topics that were of social, political, economic or military importance for the development of Switzerland. Special attention is usually paid to the links between individual themes and the Schaffhausen region. The museum also presents its extensive collection of military and technical historical artefacts in the exhibitions and in several display depots. Its care and preservation are important conservation tasks of the museum. The 50 or so wheeled and over 20 tracked vehicles are in working order and authorised for traffic.
