Murgsee Cottage
The Murgseehütte retains its original, rustic character and is nestled amongst the impressive mountain scenery of the Murgsees. As a popular destination for day trippers, walkers and nature lovers, it offers an authentic mountain hut atmosphere in the heart of a unique Alpine landscape.
Those wishing to enjoy the mountain scenery for longer can stay overnight at the hut itself and experience the peace and quiet far away from everyday life. The easiest route to the hut leads from the Mornen car park and is easily manageable even in changeable weather conditions.
The Murgseehütte is particularly popular with anglers. Fishing in the upper and middle Murgsees is permitted during the hut’s opening hours until the end of September. Fishing licences can be purchased on site, making the hut an ideal base for a nature-filled fishing experience on the crystal-clear mountain lakes.
The combination of accommodation, mountain lake fishing and varied hiking trails makes the Murgseehütte a special destination for day trips and overnight stays in Heidiland.
