Müli Oberhallau
The building of the "Müli Oberhallau" is situated somewhat apart from the village and thus has a striking impact on the villagescape. The origins of the building date back to 1608, when the municipality of Oberhallau built the mill.
In 1620 the municipality sold the property to Anthoni Surbeck, since then the mill has been privately owned. After the death of the last miller, Albert Knoblauch, who passed away on August 18, 2005, another change of ownership took place.
The concern of the new owner was the comprehensive and gentle renovation of the property and the establishment of a mill museum. The former cowshed and the threshing floor were converted into a social room that can be used for events.
The owner has been living in the renovated former miller's apartment since the end of July 2008.
