Lighthouse "Moby"

The lighthouse is a cultural project of the Office of Culture and will in future highlight important cultural institutions or cultural assets with a radiating character for Liechtenstein over a certain period of time. Lighthouses are among the oldest means of communication known to mankind, are a symbol of security and orientation and provide a signal that shows the way in difficult waters. Today, however, they are primarily intended to highlight important cultural milestones in Liechtenstein.

The lighthouse "Moby" is also a sound box, because it can sing like a whale when its belly is made to vibrate by means of a clapper. Moby was created by the artist and sound artist Roman Rutishauser and his son Hannes from St. Gallen.
