Besides the Abbey District, the St.Gallen Football Club, which was founded in 1879, is also a historical heritage. It is the oldest still existing football club in continental Europe. Since 2008, FC St.Gallen has been at home in the kybunpark (former AFG Arena). Matthias Hüppi has been president of FC St.Gallen since the beginning of 2018.
Not only on a match day is the kybunpark worth a visit. Even on non-match days, the shopping arena, right next to the kybunpark, offers a variety of shopping pleasures. Those who prefer sporty activities will get their money's worth in the climbing hall in St.Gallen. The hall is located next to the kybunpark and Shopping Arena.
