The Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen has been dedicated to contemporary art since 1985. Since then, more than 450 artists from all over the world have exhibited projects adapted to the location here. As a place for artists to experiment with contemporary art, it functions as a source of new creative impetus and raises the profile of the Swiss art scene internationally.
The museum focuses on questions involving the current work of the younger generation of artists and socially relevant issues. With four to five exhibitions per year as well as guided tours, workshops and other educational activities, the Kunst Halle stimulates interest and enthusiasm in contemporary art.
