Kulturhaus Roessle
The Kulturhaus Roessle is a place of encounter, exchange and stimulation for all interest groups and age groups. To this end, it offers a wide-ranging cultural programme that includes a mix of all cultural genres. The centre is also open to external users.
The former Gasthaus Roessle with its adjoining hall and stage was the centre of social life in the historic centre of Mauren for decades. In 2008, the traditional building, built in 1833, was due to be demolished. However, thanks to the joint efforts of the municipality, heritage conservation organisations and private individuals, the venerable building was saved from the pickaxe. In January 2015, after extensive conversion and renovation work, the building was handed over to its new purpose as a listed cultural centre.
The Kulturhaus Roessle is only open to the public as part of the respective events. Separate tours are possible on request. Exhibitions are usually open on Fridays from 6.00 - 8.00 pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 2.00 - 6.00 pm.
