Kultur-Treff Bräägg
A little outside Bazenheid, in the Bräägg, there is the old Zur Traube inn with a hall on the 1st floor. Until 1994, this hall was dusty and crammed with old chairs, tables and junk. This had the advantage that no craftsman ever had the opportunity to modernize anything in this hall: it remained a hall with a small stage as in Ulrich Bräker's time, a nostalgic hall.
The Kultur-Treff Bräägg was born in 1994 at the regulars' table of this very Wirtschaft Zur Traube. The idea of using the old hall again in the future and organising cultural events in it was turned into reality shortly afterwards with the founding of an association and the first event.
And since then, four to five events have taken place every year, from the fields of theatre, cabaret, music and literature. The original intention of organizing cultural events for the club members and the local population has become a small organizer in the cabaret scene over time. In addition to the regular audience from the surrounding area, people from all over Eastern Switzerland are also addressed, depending on the occasion, who find their way into the homely atmosphere at Bräägg.
The increasing number of spectators spurs on to bring high-quality cabaret to Bazenheid. The close, personal contact of the visitors with the artists gives the events a special quality that a large theatre cannot offer.
