The original church building was greatly altered in 1438/1439 and 1640 before it was demolished in 1893/1894. The current parish church was built in 1894/1895 according to plans by the Stuttgart architects Beytenmiller and Kleber. A comprehensive renovation took place between 1977 and 1979.
