The chapel is located at 1316 m above sea level in the Maiensäss Steg and has been a listed building since 1951.

The chapel of St. Wendelin and Martin is located in the Maiensäss Steg and is located directly on the road to Malbun. It was first mentioned at the end of the 17th century and has shaped the landscape of the Samina Valley ever since. As a cultural landmark of Steg, it has been a Liechtenstein listed building since 1951 and was last renovated in 2016.
