The basis of a Devisli is the sugar dough. In a first step, the sugar dough is rolled out and cut into the base. Each subject is individually modelled with the help of a toothpick and hands. After the sugar dough has dried, I paint the subjects. All steps are created by hand and each Devisli is unique.

The Devisli are one of the many customs from Appenzell Innerrhoden. I enjoy the fact that my work contributes to the preservation of customs.
