Haus zur Stickerei
In the 19th century, textile production was of great importance for the region and many new factory houses were built.
The house for embroidery was built in 1820. It is a typical Appenzell factory owner's house and is a listed building. The Bänziger Kerns felt that this old factory owner's house had an inviting soul and gently restored it. In 2011, the house for embroidery opened for the first time to guests, who are served food and drink. Since then, business and private parties have taken place regularly. The embroidery room can accommodate up to 55 people. From 20 people there is cooking and on request music, decorations and invitation cards from the house can be organized for embroidery.
