Haus Schönau
Haus Schönau is an original Appenzell farmhouse above Urnäsch - for people who love peace and nature. Unobstructed views of the Säntis Mountains, large terrace, conservatory and tiled stoves create a special atmosphere. In summer, cows graze around the house. No Wi-Fi - but pure nature. Important: running water is only cold, no shower and the toilet is a low-odour outhouse toilet with sawdust.
🐄 In summer, the Appenzell cows graze around the house. The ringing of cowbells is part of nature here - for many guests, it quickly becomes the soothing sound of their holidays.
🌌 Without Wi-Fi and without light pollution, evenings become what they used to be: conversations by the tiled stove, playing cards, reading a good book or watching the starry sky over the Säntis.
☕ Sitting on the terrace in the morning, drinking your first coffee and watching the sun illuminate the Säntis massif – that's what many people come from far away for.
