Haus Federer
The oldest house on the harbour square.
The neo-Gothic Art Nouveau façade was realized around 1900 by the St. Gallen architect Wendelin Heene. Around 1470, Abbot Ulrich Rösch had the prince-abbot's "Taverne zum Güldenen Leuen" built, where his town keeper in Rorschach supervised the grain market and later the screen quality control was held. The wirtshausschild is now in the St.Gallen Historical Museum.
