The barbecue area Thurwasserfälle is located in a shady forest, about 100 m below the Thur waterfalls. The Säntisthur flows directly past the barbecue area and also forms a small waterfall. In summer you can even splash around here. The water is crystal clear, but also quite cold. The fireplace is bricked and has a square grate that cannot be adjusted in height. Right next to it are two benches without backrests. You can look for wood in the surrounding forest or bring a few logs from home. Apart from a waste bin, nothing else is offered on the fireplace. It's a pity that there is no better equipped and above all larger Feuestelle at this great place so close to the Thur waterfalls. Geocachers will also find a cache here! Photographers take their tripod and a dark gray filter with them. So you can shoot absolutely great pictures with slow shutter speeds!
