Gräppelensee

The picturesque Gräppelensee lies in a wide hollow south of the Lütispitz at 1307 m above sea level.
It is about 140 m long and 110 m wide and has a circumference of 500 meters. Its area is 2.1 hectares. There are two barbecue areas on the eastern shore of Lake Gräppelensee. You can swim in the lake. The easiest way to get into the water is via the jetty on the north bank. Numerous paths lead here and trained hikers continue the tour towards Lütispitz, Windenpass or even up to the Schwägalp.
From June, guests with a minimum stay of 5 days in the municipality of Alt St. Johann-Wildhaus can fish with a fishing card (available at the Murer grocery store).
