Goldschmiede Fuster

Albert Fuster turned a dream into reality in 1920 with the purchase of the Frohe Aussicht house at Poststrasse 4. So he moved with his family from the Burger house (today Druckerei Appenzell), where he had already had a studio for three years, to Poststrasse. With his wife, he made a name for himself in the production of traditional costume jewellery in gold and silver, but also of contemporary jewellery. Thanks to his serious work, as well as the friendly interaction with his clientele, he has earned a good reputation in Appenzell and also outside the canton over the years. Thanks to his health, he was able to run the Fuster goldsmiths himself until the ripe old age of 82.

From 1978, the business was continued by his daughter Marie Luise Fässler-Fuster. Later, with the help of her son, Sacha Johannes Fässler, who took over the business in 1995.
