Goldloch Dägelsberg

The gold hole was dug in the 18th century

The Goldloch on the Dägelsberg belongs to Goldingen, owned by the canton of Zurich. If you want to explore the Goldloch on your own, you can pick up the key to the gate at the Tierhag restaurant, for a deposit.

Good shoes and a flashlight are essential for the visit and you should not suffer from claustrophobia or dizziness. The tunnel first leads about 20m in. Then a vertical ladder leads down about 12m, where another passage of about 12m has to be conquered before you reach the depths via a ladder about 6m long.

In our time, no signs of gold have been found, but it is certainly exciting!

Another adventure in the Goldinger Valley is the second Goldloch (Isaraloch) near the Atzmännig. This can also be visited with a guided tour or alone. You can find more information on our website.
