Friedensbrunnen
The Fountain of Peace on the market square of Arbon is a reminder of the square's eventful history and its importance as a meeting place for the population. It combines artistic design with local history and invites you to linger.
The fountain was built in 1915 in front of the Ochsen inn and has since borne the name "Peace Fountain". In 1982, it was moved to its current location in the course of the reconstruction of the market square. During the dismantling, a medallion was unveiled, documenting the year of construction and the builder. With its classic basin and decorative details, the fountain is a historical eye-catcher and was officially inaugurated in 1983 as part of a folk festival.
