Feuerwehrmuseum

The Fire Brigade Museum was opened on 3 September 2011. It is located in the former fire station of Dicken.
This is one of the few fire stations in Toggenburg to still have a hose tower. For the conversion into a museum, four floors were installed in the tower. On display are historical fire brigade equipment that was once stored in the depots of the five local fire brigades. When these local fire brigades merged to form the Neckertal fire brigade, a solution had to be found for these devices. Et voilà: The Fire Brigade Museum! The oldest piece in the collection dates from 1783. This is a leather extinguishing bucket that every firefighter used to have to keep at home and bring with him to the operation. You can also see several motorised sprayers and much more. A dream for all fire brigade fans!
