Feuerstelle Tweralpspitz
At around 1300 m above sea level, the fireplace on the Tweralpspitz is located in a beautiful location. From here you have a fantastic view through the Steintal valley down to Wattwil, up to Upper Toggenburg with the Churfirsten, to the Speer and the Säntis. To the south you can see the village of Ricken and to the northeast Oberhelfenschwil nestles against a hill. The Tweralpspitz is the highest point in the municipality of Goldingertal Eschenbach. However, the fireplace just below is on Toggenburg soil.
The fireplace is equipped with a large grate, seating and under the spruce there is a shelter in which a supply of wood and newspaper is available. The path up to the fire pit is not suitable for prams.
An information board of the Chrüzegg Geotrail provides information about the retreat areas of the cold-enduring plants during the ice ages.
