The Farner Route offers intact nature and many metres in altitude and is signposted with the no. 481

The starting point of this tour is the small town of Uznach, where there is a large stork colony. It is quite possible that you will get to see one of the white and black animals on the first few meters. The ascent to the Oberricken by bike is not as easy as the birds: Between Ernetschwil and Bildhus you overcome a difference in altitude of almost 300 metres over 2.5 kilometres.

The path continues through the high moors on the Ricken, which show their most magnificent side in the flowering season (May/June). From the village of Ricken, it goes another 150 metres uphill to Oberricken. On the following four kilometres, you can regain your strength while driving downhill on asphalt, gravel and meadows.

You need it for the ascent to the 1157-metre-high Farner. There is a beautiful view of the Linth Plain, Lake Zurich and the Alps. The descent to Goldingen is the most technically demanding part of this tour. On the rest of the route to the finish in Uznach, you roll down comfortably on side roads and dirt roads.
