Einmaliges Erlebnis und anregende Installation.

The property-free hotel room without walls and without a roof, which caused a worldwide sensation last summer in the Safiental, will be reopened after long negotiations with over 20 Swiss tourist destinations in front of the Alpstein mountain backdrop in Appenzellerland.
The special feature: The new double room is a suite this year and is enthroned as a solitaire on the Göbsi summit (1200 m above sea level) near Gonten. The Swiss conceptual artists Frank and Patrik Riklin and Daniel Charbonnier, co-founders of the brand "Null Stern – the only star is you", will open the new edition of the art installation next Friday, 9 June, 6 p.m., in cooperation with both tourism organisations from the Appenzell region. The "Null Stern" suite, including a safe deposit box and analogue TV, can now be booked. New this year is that hotel guests have a TV in the room. Not for zapping, but reduced to a channel – with news, weather forecasts or anecdotes and jokes from the region. To this end, the Riklin brothers developed the so-called "TV Direct" as a new "Null Stern" feature, which works consistently analogue: The "Null Stern" butler speaks live and face-to-face to the guests in bed through the chassis of a disused television object. According to the artists, "TV-Direkt" is a statement against the social digitization mania. At the same time, "TV-Direkt" flirts with the copy-paste age and fake news.
