The former paint warehouse next to the main building, which once belonged to the fabric dyeing plant, was lovingly converted into an apartment in 2023. After the building had been left to decay for a long time, it was completely restored and rebuilt with great care and respect for the existing substance. Inside, historic wooden beams and parts of the first Diessenhof city wall are a reminder of the long history of the house.
The dyer's house is part of the historic building complex from 1518 and is located directly on the Rhine in the historic town of Diessenhofen. Today, the apartment combines historic architecture with a calm, modern design.
On the ground floor, a large window front opens the living area to the seating area and the Rhine. Here you will find the kitchen, a dining table and a cozy living room that invites you to read or listen to music. The fully equipped kitchen invites you to cook. In addition, a Bialetti espresso pot, a milk frother and a tea set are available. On the same floor, a washing machine with dryer function can also be used.
On the first floor is the bedroom with double bed and a small reading corner. Through the window, the view falls towards the Rhine. A special detail is the spacious bathtub open to the room. Of course, towels, shampoo and shower gel are provided. There is also a workstation here so that you can write your thoughts in the notebook, draw something or send postcards.
A steep ladder leads to the gallery, a cozy sleeping area under the roof. Two more guests can stay here. Due to the ladder, this area is particularly suitable for teenagers or adults.
In front of the house there is a private patio with table and four chairs, surrounded by plants. Perfect for a coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The popular Rhine hiking trail runs right next to it. The house is part of the lively riverbank and at the same time a wonderful starting point for walks, bike tours and discoveries along the Rhine.
The charming old town of Diessenhofen and the harbour can be reached in a few minutes on foot.
