Cultural Centre Sternen Thayngen

The Sternen Thayngen Cultural Centre Foundation, based in Thayngen, Canton Schaffhausen, is the owner of an inn first mentioned in 1648, the Sternen. This property is part of the community's cultural offerings and thus plays an important role.
The Sternen property exudes the charm of the old inns from the time when viticulture developed as the main source of income in the municipality. Even Goethe was very fond of Thayngen wine in one of his diaries when he once stopped in Thayngen on one of his trips to Zurich. The Sternen's rooms give the exhibitions and other events (wedding ceremonies, meetings, guided tours, etc. are also held here) their special character, atmosphere and that "certain something".
