Cinema Luna
The Cinema Luna was founded in 1994 by the Frauenfelder FilmfreundInnen association. Since 2011, it has been housed in a new building directly next to Frauenfeld station.
In the two halls, only studio or arthouse films are shown in the original language with German subtitles. Every week, about three new films come to Cinema Luna, and almost 200 films per year. In 2014, the Frauenfeld Film Friends were awarded the Culture Prize of the Canton of Thurgau for their Cinema Luna, and in 2015 the Recognition Prize of the City of Frauenfeld for 25 years of open-air cinema.
