Bicycle carriage Altstätten - Gais
The modern bicycle carriage of the Appenzeller Bahnen (Appenzeller Railways) ensures a comfortable return transport to Gais. Equipped with a ramp, it allows effortless loading and unloading. During the summer months, the carriage runs daily between Altstätten and Gais, provided the weather is nice. Especially recommended for the Route from Appenzell – Rheintal.

CH-Bike Day Pass
There is a possibility to buy a Bike Day pass for CHF 14.-. You can use the pass all over Switzerland.
Junior Travelcard
Children with a Junior Travelcard can take their bike with, free of charge. However, they have to be accompanied by a parent in possession of a bike ticket.
Bicycle loading
