The mountain inn is located high above the St.Gallen Rhine Valley on the eastern ridge of the Alpstein, 1'751 metres above sea level. The overwhelming view of four countries is surrounded by intact mountain flora. The cuisine is characterised by selected specialities from the region, with a special emphasis on seasonal offerings such as the rich game buffet in autumn.
The Staubern stands for innovation and a conscious approach to nature.
In the high season, the cable car runs every 20 minutes (xx:00 / xx:20 / xx:40) for groups of 3 or more. Continuous operation (every 8 minutes) if busy.
