Bauernhaus Baliere
Changing exhibitions are shown in the Baliere City Gallery. The focus is on artists from the Frauenfeld region.
The Haus zur Baliere, in which the gallery is located, is an old timber-framed building from the 16th century and was once the residential and commercial building of Hans Hoffmann, who worked as a Balierer (sword sweep) and armourer in Frauenfeld. In the Historical Museum in Frauenfeld Castle, finely chiselled swords from his workshop can still be admired today.
