Arenenberger Gartenwelt

After the Napoleonic era, the canton of Thurgau was able to take over the Arenenberg in 1906, subject to two conditions: both a museum and a school were to be built on the site. Today, the Arenenberg Education and Advice Centre passes on green knowledge to the canton's young farmers, and the Arenenberg Garden World now also makes this part of the site accessible. Tree and variety garden, chicken coop and apiary are often unknown even to fans of the Arenenberg. A half-hour circular trail connects the historic and school gardens of the Arenenberg, and with the help of a new garden guide (available in the museum shop), the green side of the Arenenberg can be explored.
With the opening of the Garden World, the Arenenberg is following the garden trend in tourism. The visit to the castle can now be used for a day trip with an extended walk and a break in the Bistro Louis Napoléon. More adventure offers, new overview maps on the grounds and also public courses offered by the BBZ on the subject of gardening and gardening make the Arenenberg even more attractive.
