The Hüttenberg is located at 1058 m above sea level and can be reached from the Atzmännig mountain station in about 35 minutes or from the Oberricken (Walde) car park in just under 25 minutes.
From the sun terrace, there is a 180-degree panoramic view of the Appenzellerland, Toggenburg and the Glarus Mountains far into Central Switzerland.
