Handsatzmuseum Gall'sche Offizin
Time seems to have stood still in Gall's office at Hintergasse 9 in Lichtensteig. "God greet art" is the greeting of the printers, and this is how visitors are still welcomed in the office today.
Since 1984, Gall'sche Offizin, founded in 1977, has been located on the ground floor of the "Schmalzhaus" at Hintergasse 9. But the pharmacy does not only have the character of a museum. Even today, certificates, maps, private advertisements and bibliophile documents are produced in this hand-typesetting and hand-press printing shop using antique equipment and typefaces.
We will be happy to show you the valuable furnishings and bring you closer to the "Black Art" during an individual guided tour.
The Gall'sche Offizin is open every last Saturday of the month from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
For groups, the pharmacy is open at any time by appointment.
